The physical part isn’t what’s hardest about being injured. It’s all of the mental and emotional experiences that can come with it. When an injury takes running away you are facing a major stressor and losing your best tool for managing stress at the same time.

Injuries are isolating at a time when you need your running community more than ever. That’s where this group comes in!

What: The Aid Station is a 4 week peer support group for injured runners navigating the emotional and mental parts of injury and recovery.

Who: This group is for injured runners. Whatever injury, whatever kind of runner you are and wherever you are in the injury process. If you find yourself missing running because of an injury, you count!

And intentional, committed participants. That means that when you register, you are planning on attending all 4 meetings and are committing to showing up and being present for the other participants. You do not have to share, but if you are planning to receive support you should also plan to give it!

Where: This is a VIRTUAL group and all registered participants will receive a secure link ahead of the first meeting.

When:

FALL 2026: WEDNESDAYS 6:00- 7:30 Mountain Time

10/21, 10/28, 11/4 and 11/11

WINTER 2026: MONDAYS 5-6:30 Mountain Time

11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21

WHAT: An intimate 4 week peer group to connect with other injured runners and get support.

COMMUNITY + SUPPORT

  • Give and receive support

  • Hear from others + connect with other injured runners

  • Create community with cohort

PRACTICAL TOOLS

  • Strategies and resources for taking care of your mental health during injury recovery

  • Deeper understanding of the mental/emotional impact of injury

A SAFE PLACE TO REST

  • Small groups capped at 8 committed runners

  • Participants co create group rules & norms

  • Meetings rooted in confidentiality, non-judgment, respect + safety

  • 4 consecutive weeks to enhance trust & safety within group
